Every single person who steps into any gym for the first time feels intimidated especially a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) gym. It’s scary trying anything new, but BJJ is a whole other story. BJJ is different from any other martial art you see. It’s no Karate or Taekwondo. There are hundreds if not thousands of moves and in order to become a black belt, you don’t just have to master the moves, but also the timing and precision involved. Intimidating right? Of course it is but that does not mean it is impossible, far from that in fact. In order to accomplish anything in life, you have to take that first step. The first step to BJJ is simple… walk through the front door. I promise as soon as you try your first class you will be hooked.
